The grapes come from the single vineyard in village area Quiñón de Valmira, Yerga Mountain and Alfaro at long and gentle Southeast slope. Optimum drinking time after its 5th year in bottle. High ageing potential. Alcohol: 13.6%.

Unfiltered wine. Alcoholic fermentation: spontaneous in wooden vats with cap immersion. Native yeast. Malolactic fermentation: spontaneous in barrel. Maceration: 41 days. Ageing: 17 months in fudre oval. To ensure optimum development, this wine should be cellared at a maximum temperature of 54°F (12°C).

Tasting Note

From very old vines located in an elevated single vineyard plot, this wine has a concentration, purity and elegange to rival the greatest grand cru of Burgundy. Alvaro himselfs says you can feel the breeze in the wine, which has an electric minerality with ripe strawberry, aniseed and oregano flavours.
