El Esteco

Founded in 1892, Bodega El Esteco is located in the Calchaqui Valley, in Argentina’s far northwest province of Salta, with over 1,500 acres of vineyard in the world’s highest-altitude growing region for wine. Combined with these altitudes, abundant sunshine, cool nights and little rainfall create a winemaker’s paradise. The irrigation necessary here allows the team unusual control over water supply, and the grapes benefit from sustainable viticulture and hand-harvesting.

The range of Don David wines pays homage to the winery’s founder, Don David Michel. After 12 months in oak, Don David boasts a well-defined identity and reflects the solid, adventurous spirit and sound character of its namesake.
