Torre Raone, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo ‘Lucanto’ Organic 750ml

A persistent and fine wine with intense and enjoyable flavours of blackberry, raspberry, black cherry, plum, blueberry and violet.

Lucanto d’Abruzzo DOC is a deep ruby red. It is a warm, soft wine, fruity with intense sensations of ripe black cherry and blackberry. Velvety, balanced and harmonious, it is remarkably persistent with soft tannins. Serving temperature is 16-18°C.

The farm Tenuta Torre Raone is located in Abruzzo, on the sunny hills of Loreto Aprutino at 350 metres above sea level, on the borders of the National Park Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga in the area of the Natural Oasis Lake of Penne. The company was taken over in 1997 by two friends, Luciano Di Tizio and Antonio D'Emilio, from the nearby village Tollo. The Estate, with an area of 35 hectares, is under the Organic Farming Certified ICEA, and has grown to 30 hectares of vineyards and 3 hectares of olive groves.

100% Montepulciano D'Abruzzo comes from a late harvest and is then stored only in steel in order to preserve the original taste with soft fruit red berries such as blackberry, raspberry, black cherry and plum. The grapes are selected and harvested by hand. Long fermentation on the skins in steel containers. During the winter the malolactic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 18°C.

Tasting Note

Easy drinking, organic Montepulciano with bright cherry and aniseed aromas. Full bodied and round on the palate with lingering dark fruits.
