Mooiplaas Wine Estate and Private Nature Reserve is situated among the majestic mountains and fertile valleys of the Stellenbosch Winelands. This historic and traditional working wine farm lies between two oceans on steep slopes of ancient, mineral-rich soils.

Here, Tielman and Louis Roos produce a range of wines rooted in traditional techniques that make the most of the unique terroir. Having grown up on the farm, viticulturist Tielman Roos knows every intimate detail of the land, and uses an environmentally-friendly and biodiverse approach to produce premium quality grapes each year. Winemaker Louis Roos leverages classic, traditional winemaking processes to create Mooiplaas wines, including wild yeast, natural fermentation, light filtration and maturation in small oak barrels.
