Springfield Estate Wild Yeast Chardonnay 750ml

Set in the heart of the mountain-ringed Robertson Valley in the Western Cape of South Africa, Springfield Estate is a family-run wine farm owned by ninth-generation descendants of French Huguenots, who came to South Africa from the Loire in 1688.
The farm has been in the family since 1898 and today, using a combination of sometimes risky winemaking techniques, traditional methods and modern technology, along with a sense of practicality and dogged determination born from living off the land all their lives, the Bruwer family is able to handcraft wine true to its motto: Made on Honour.
Tank fermented with native yeast. 60 days alcoholic fermentation. 100% malolactic was allowed naturally. 25g/hl Bentonite fining. Filtration 2. 5 micron filtration on the estate prior to bottling. Acidity:6. 32 g/L, pH:3. 54, FSO2: 40 mg/L at bottling, RS:1. 1g/L.
Tasting Note
This is a pronounced style of Chardonnay, one for Burgundy lovers with a rich profile of pineapple yoghurt, peach and biscuit. Rich and creamy on the palate.
