Stonewell Apple & Rhubarb Ros 330ml
The natural sugars and sweetness of the apple juice deliver a slightly viscous mouth feel counterbalanced by the effervescence which brings subtle and complex aromas to the nose.
Stonewell hope you find their creation interesting and even thought provoking. The tartier notes of the rhubarb wine and juice have been softened and rounded by the eating apples - just enough to ensure that they don't impose themselves too much, yet also deliver a slight blush to the colour. Stonewell ferment the rhubarb on its own into a rhubarb wine. They blend this with eating apple cider and sweeten it with fresh juice. The result is a tart cider with an abundance of rhubarb on the nose, lush apple on the palate and a smooth long aftertaste. ABV: 5.5%.
Stonewell was founded in 2010 in Nohoval, County Cork by husband-and-wife team Daniel & Geraldine. An all-Irish affair, Stonewell ciders are made entirely from fresh apple juice in their Cork cidery. The apples come from farmers in the counties of Laois, Waterford & Tipperary. There is no concentrate, no colouring and no artificial additives.
Stonewell works with what nature provides. In keeping with this natural ethos, for each Stonewell bottle bought the cidery donates to the Irish Bee Conservation Project. Stonewell is passionate about cider, how it is made, the ingredients it uses and the quality of the final product. All Stonewell products are coeliac and vegan friendly.
