State of the art technology to produce world class wines. In 1979, at the age of 73, Amado Paredes founded Torreón de Paredes winery in Rengo, Chile. Torreon de Paredes is located in Rengo, 114 km south of Santiago, in the heart of the famous Cachapoal Valley at the foothills of the Andes mountain range. The high quality soil of the area and the pure water of the mountains that the Claro River provides, together with the climatic conditions, are fully expressed in the Torreón de Paredes wines, which manifest a unique and singular terroir. The great thermal amplitude, soils of low fertility and high percentage of stones make it possible to cultivate varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carménère, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer. Since 2015, Torreon de Paredes has been certified under the Sustainability Code, where Torreôn de Paredes seek to reduce the potential environmental and social risks caused by the activities involved in wine production.

Located within the Central Valley are the upper reaches of the Cachapoal Valley, one of Chile ́s historic wine growing valleys. In this valley lies the town of Rengo that is protected by the mountain range that creates an area cooler and more arid than the rest of the valley. The Torreón de Paredes vineyard built on alluvial soil, is situated in the heart of this and is flanked by the mighty Andes, which not only provides a stunning backdrop to Torreón de Paredes winery, but also creates the dramatic contrasts between day and night temperatures which result in richer, juicier grapes.

Tasting Note

Sauvignon Blanc from Chile displays intense aromas of lime, guava, pineapple and green bell pepper. This is a medium-bodied, fruit forward style of Sauvignon Blanc for those who prefer bold, fruity wines.
