On the nose it has great complexity and integration of ripe red and dark fruits aromas, with fine touches of the aging (spices, herbs, tobacco, cocoa). Palate is balanced, rounded, structured and silky. Aftertaste of the wine is powerful, long and pleasant. Serve at 16-18°C. Alcohol: 13%.
Harvest tradition and cosmopolitan spirit, roots and innovation, vineyard and world. The balance between roots and the future defines the character of Bodegas Muriel. A personality that knows how to connect the origin and history with the feeling of the moment. Founded in 1926 by José Murúa Villaverde, the winery today has the strength of the experience and vision of its current managers Julián Murúa and his son Javier Murúa.
Proud of its winemaking tradition, the town of Elciego is one of the best known and most appreciated nuclei of the Rioja Alavesa. Located near the course of the Ebro River, Elciego has an unmistakable profile, with its old town extending in the shadow of the large church of San Andrés. In the second half of the nineteenth century, here began the production of wine as it is practised today throughout the region.
